Description
One-of-a-kind competition sports car, dating from Jaguar’s glory years. Only 53 were built and sold, between 1951 and 1953. This particular model was hand-built some years ago to exacting standards by Cyril Lynstone, formerly a partner in Emeryson Racing Cars and remains in superb condition. It comes with all the original Jaguar Browns Lane Chassis Blueprints as supplied by the then Managing Director of Jaguar Cars, Browns Lane.
The current owners have raced it for the past three seasons in Motor Racing Legends, Woodcote Trophy and other key European races. Overall class winner in 2017 for the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy. Never damaged but just some delightful racing patina showing race use.
The car comes with a full FIA/HTP passport valid until 2025 making it eligible to participate in just about any historic motorsport race or occasion. Recently fitted with a completely rebuilt MSA-sealed Peter Landa Sigma race engine, plus a rebuilt gearbox and differential, new brakes and tyres, making it completely race-ready.
Alongside the Browns Lane Chassis drawings the car comes accompanied by numerous spares, including a brand new MSA-sealed Sigma engine, a spare rebuilt gearbox and an additional rebuilt differential, plus alloy rim wheels on new tyres – and various other spares.
The car is M.O.T Tested and the sale includes the cherished registration number PPW76
