Austin A30 Speedwell.

This Austin A30 ‘Speedwell’ was previously owned by British Touring Car ace Gordon Sheddon, and was prepared ready for the HRDC AllStars or HRDC Touring Greats by Team Dynamics, with support, advice and parts from saloon expert and racer Rae Davis.

Thus creating an immaculate special car which was built to take on the best of the best in this category. The car incorporates a lightweight seam welded shell, T45 welded-in FIA roll cage, special front springs and roll bar with Armstrong adjustable Lever shock absorbers by Pete Caldwell.

The rear features special sprints with an ‘A’ frame anti-tramp bar and adjustable Lever Shock absorbers as well as EN40 steel half shafts, double bearing hubs and a limited slip differential.

The interior features a period Stack dashboard and instruments with belts and seat all in date. The rear seats come out to reduce weight further and the car comes with a matching passenger seat but not shown.

The Engine is prepared and hand built by Neil Brown of Neil Brown Engineering, the man responsible for the build and developments of the Works Honda engines and the engine incorporated new parts from MED and Swiftune.

Owned and raced by Gordon Sheddon, who decided to send to auction in Summer 2017 due to too many commitments. ┬áSince then the car has been part of a collection, and used at this year’s Flywheel for demonstration laps only.

Current owners are selling due to having too many race cars and not enough time!

With all the hard work done, this car represents a finished build ready to race for the last HRDC rounds of 2017 to get in tune for next year.
