Motor Racing legends’ longest-running race series; the Pre-War Sports Car Series is for all sports cars built before 1941. Cars must be close to original production specification; run in ‘road-going’ trim, with wings and lights; and run on ordinary pump fuel. Some degree of modification is permitted, but out-and-out Specials are not eligible for the Series, races are always 40 – 50 minutes long, with compulsory pit stop and optional driver change.

The first race of the season sees pre-War sports cars return to Donington Historic Festival for the famous ‘Mad Jack’ race. Named after Richard ‘Mad Jack’ Shuttleworth, winner of the first ever Donington Grand Prix in 1935, the Mad Jack is a spectacular 2-driver race, for sports cars from the pre-War era. Expect to see 8–litre Bentleys, Type 35 Bugattis and Alfa Monza along with an array of pre-War models from Aston Martin, BMW, Talbot, Frazer Nash and many more.
